Success, but every success comes with some painful bruises.

When we travel we tend to feel the aches and pains of the journey. The journey is exciting but with it comes a price. The bumps and bruises we pick up along the way are inevitable if your journey has any meaning at all. You can stay home and avoid the confrontation with reality but essentially you never really can.

Each and every one of us has our own unique journey and we each have our bumps and bruises that none but us can see.

Some of those bumps and bruises are physical; bad knee, damaged elbow from an arm bar years ago, broken teeth, broken nose, aches and pains. We learn to live with those. Far more difficult however are the ones you can't see, but they are just as real; the betrayals, the let downs and disappointments, the broken trust, the shattered relationships. Sometimes when we achieve our greatest success we feel the pain of the worst betrayals.

Such is life, the little aches and pains that accompany our journey, it is inevitable, both the physical and the spiritual.

However I am grateful, as for every pain there is also joy and satisfaction. Another tour completed, this one of South Africa, and according to the reports it has been a huge success, and a life changing experience for many.

There is always a price to pay, success does not come without pain. Every successful man has hidden stories, former partners who betrayed him, in more ways than one, contracts not honored, friendships shattered.

But we look at the good, for those who have done more than expected, for those who came through when we needed them most.

For all these I am grateful. As I embark upon another journey I am grateful for the experience, for the lessons learned, for the trust gained.

We persevere, we thrive.
