I have just read a report from Israel. There are many jobs in the military that seems perhaps, insignificant, a job that must be done but one that is not terribly exciting or important. One such job might be the guy in charge of inventory of captured weapons and supplies, But it is important, very important. He is passionate about his job, he takes great pride in what he is doing. No he is not a combat soldier, but his job is vital to our survival. How so? How is managing a supply room, an inventory manager, so important?

He tells us of the kinds of weapons the enemy possess. He informs us of whom the original manufacturer was. He tells us when it was purchased and how it was modified to suit the needs of our enemies, the terrorists from Gaza and the Arab world.  We learn how innovative and creative our enemies have become, and we learn how they have improved.

He tells us; at a certain point our enemy changed, they grew deeper in their understanding of combat, there was a marked improvement in their combative ability, they became a much more formidable enemy than we had known or expected. Their worked hard, they trained hard, their methods of training improved.

Listen closely, they upped their game. At a certain point there was a marked changed in their abilities. They studied different methods of combat; they studied training methods and vastly improved their own training methods. We see a change in their level of professionalism, in their level of soldiering. Tactical improvement, improvements in weapons, in academic training. They have taken this training seriously.

And what about us? What have we been doing? All of us, what have we been doing?

I will tell what we have not been doing. We have not been training, we have not been updating our training. We at IKI have been, our training is constantly improving, we are never content, but I speak of the general public and the world of self-defense. The training is the same, it is stagnant, and that is not good. We update our DVDs, our videos, our seminars, if you came to a seminar 10 years ago and you came today, it is a different world. If you were certified 10 years ago and now you decided to come back, don't expect us to recognize your rank.

The terrorists are training, they are investing in their training, they are not content, they are constantly improving in every aspect of their training. and what are we doing? What is the general public doing? Are we ready to face the violence that is all around us, all over the world?

Are you ready to start your training?
