Falsity of Action

We must be careful about creating holy cows. We must be careful when it comes to creating gods. No man is a god. No man can become a god, no style of martial arts is divinely ordained, so let's stop this nonsense. There is no divine founder of Krav Maga, it was created, and is being created, by human beings, who are imperfect. No system is perfect, no army is perfect.
If anyone ever thought of the Israeli army as perfect, well the events of October 7, 2023, should set them straight. Do not put your faith in false gods. Question everyone and everything all the time.
I saw a video of a "Krav Maga demonstration" by the Israeli army, it was an old video, and it was awful. But it looks cool. Anything could look cool, it is called movies, entertainment. Choreographed moves by people that train together are no indication that a style works. I have trained extensively with the Israeli soldiers, sadly, they are not adept at knife defense. Charging into a knife attack is suicide, and yet that is what this video shows. On film, with cooperating partners, it all looks great, and the people believe it. Question everything!!
Some people like action films, they have no patience for slow intellectual films that take time to develop a plot. They become bored easily, but ACTION, that is fun. A movie like "Being There", takes time, but is worth it, there are no fight scenes, there are no car chases.
Don't be fooled by cool Krav Maga Action videos. So the guys are in uniform, so what! My team and I have trained many soldiers and have yet to find any that could handle a knife attack. Please do not get over excited when you see videos of the IDF doing Krav Maga demonstrations. And trust me, anything that is released to the public is done for public relations and is carefully chosen and arranged. Please be wise and do not be fooled.
