Guaranteed Results - Krav-Maga

Why Spend Time and Money on Krav Maga?
Perhaps it is a gamble, like all those fad diet ideas, how do you know that this Krav Maga stuff will work? Why should you invest your time and money in something where you don't know what the results will be?
Fair enough.
So people want results and they want them guaranteed.
Can you guarantee results?
Well first that depends, what kind of results are you interested in?
If the result you are seeking is a black belt, yes, all commercial schools can guarantee that. Just pay, sign a contract, and after a certain amount of time you will receive a piece of paper and a piece of cloth, if that is all you want. Done. And honestly, I receive those types of inquiries on a regular basis. After I reject them they sign up with other "reputable" organizations that indeed guarantee such results.
However, if the results you want are
The Ability to defend yourself, Self Confidence, self-assurance, success in life, then no, no one can guarantee these results. But why? I thought the system works?
It does, but you are the key factor here. I can't guarantee results because I cannot guarantee your effort. As Mr. Miyagi said, let's make a sacred pact, I teach, you learn. Both are required to make the effort.
I Need Certainty
Most people prefer to avoid risk. The best way to avoid risk is never to get married, never to invest in anything, never to take any actions whatsoever until you are absolutely certain that this will work out exactly as you expect and plan. Well, as they said, good luck with that!
If you are waiting for the Risk-Free version of Krav Maga, I have sad news for you, there is nothing whatsoever in this life that is risk free, that is why there are bankruptcy laws, divorce lawyers, delete buttons and erasers. And we need to ask, was there certainly before you reached your most recent decisions that perhaps changed your life for the better? Perhaps you got married, perhaps you decided to have children, or open your own business, purchase a house, none of those are risk-free. Of course, you did your research before reaching those decisions but you did not have absolute certainty. There is nothing in this life that is risk-free. Taking a bath is not risk free, I know a combat soldier who fell asleep in the bathtub, hit his head and died. I know a guy who went to his car and got hit by a passing bus before he reached his vehicle. Should we avoid these risky activities and wait until it is totally safe?
There is no risk-free version of life, and there is no risk-free version of Krav Maga, but they are better investments than others, and that is what you should be seeking, a reputable place with documented experience. You do your research, take a calculated risk and figure it out as you go along, such is life, in all its various spheres.
All lifesaving and life changing decisions involve some element of risk, faith, and research, invest your time before you invest a Dime, as they say, and then jump and work your tail off.
